Developing creative opportunities for young people in West Bromwich

Creative Academies Ltd has received investment of £47,684 from People’s Health Trust, using money raised through the Health Lottery West Midlands.

The Home Grown 31: Connected Communities project will provide an arts and social action programme for young people in Sandwell. It will offer regular participatory arts activities, leadership training, accredited social training and cultural events. The project aims to build community cohesion, celebrate cultural diversity and enable participants to form bonds with their local neighbourhood. The aspiration is that young people will be inspired to take a lead in the project.

“Thanks to this funding we can provide a programme of arts and social action that puts local young people in the driving seat in Sandwell.”

(Jerrel Jackson – Chief Creative)

“We are delighted that money raised by Health Lottery West Midlands is supporting such an important local project.”

(Chris Lunn, Director of Health Lottery West Midlands)
